
Dr. İbrahim Orçun Olcay
Head of Embryology Laboratory
Dr. İbrahim Orçun Olcay completed his undergraduate degree in Genetics and Bioengineering at Yeditepe University in 2011. He continued his academic journey in the field of reproductive health by earning a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine and Ethics from the University of Kent in the UK, and later completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Acıbadem University in 2022.
Dr. Olcay holds membership in ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), which is internationally recognized in the field, and has certifications in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART). He began his embryology career in 2008 at the German Hospital. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as an Embryologist at the Middle East & Balkans IVF Center (Northern Cyprus).
He then continued his career at Bahçeci Health Group’s Fulya IVF Center as a Senior Clinical Embryologist. Between 2018 and 2023, he served as the Laboratory Director at Bahçeci Umut IVF Center, leading the laboratory operations.
From 2023 to 2025, Dr. Olcay worked as the Operations Manager of Bahçeci Health Group Laboratories.
Combining his clinical experience with international scientific standards, Dr. Olcay aims to develop personalized protocols for each patient in IVF laboratory practices. He stands out with his scientific leadership within the team and his strong commitment to patient trust. Dr. Olcay currently continues his work at British Cyprus IVF Hospital, applying the latest scientific methods to increase success rates.
